Go Ask Alice
We're an adult educational podcast. Because adults want to learn, too!
If you've ever wandered wikipedia in procrastination mode, this is the show for you.
If you've ever passively contemplated unusual histories lurking behind mundane items, this show was fated to find you.
If youve ever resurfaced from an insomnia-ridden clickfest scrounging the depths of human knowledge.... we made this especially for you.
Go Ask Alice is a 0.5--1.5 hour show where your hosts: Gene, Lindsay, Sara, and Drew, jump down research rabbit holes every week. We're each given the same wiki-page-prompt, and from there we let our freak flags fly and set sail on the ocean of destiny.
We take a deep dive into primary documents (yes, library books), archived websites that no longer exist, Google-translated websites only available in other countries, scanned pages of books in dead languages, and sometimes even friends who are already experts.
We cover a wide variety of topics, and you never know what you're gonna get next. Drew seems to have a penchant for ordinary items like noise cancelling headphones and maple syrup. Lindsay loves morbidity and toilets, broadly speaking, and sometimes puts them together. Gene loves all things dangerous and alluring to the senses. Sara..... well, suppose you mix decay, inspirational feminism, and wonders of the ancient world. What then?
Most of all, we love getting to know each other and all of you. We have an active Discord where we answer questions and philosophise. We have a Patreon where we post bonus content, the images that tickled our fancy related to the topics, send personalized goodies, and, of course, Ad free episodes.
Got a favorite pod-player? wanna find one? We made a linktree to help find us there. ;)
Happy learning! We love you!
